Strengths
Professional Members: CIF is one of the professional organizations having a wide range of networks for performing tasks on conflict transformation and peace building, protection and promotion of human rights and social justice in the country. All the members of this forum are working in the areas of human rights, peace and development. Nine persons are in the executive board; over 50 are active members, who have been working in various professional fields in national level and different districts. Executive board consists of members from different caste, sex and geographical areas of Nepal. Out of nine members, 5 persons have obtained their Master's degree in peace and development studies from Japanese and European Universities. Rests of the members in the executive board are well trained on education, social empowerment, peace building and human rights from national and international training/workshop and academic courses.
Diverse Group: CIF members have been working in the field of socio-economic development, community empowerment, education and training, governance and public service delivery sectors through different organizations. Beside their primary involvement, most of them are working as volunteers on promoting nonviolence, peace, tolerance, good governance, protection and promotion of human rights and social justice through CIF and its networks.
Wide Range of Network: CIF has its own networking in 25 cluster districts, which cover five development regions and all 75 administrative districts of Nepal. There are a total of 10 leading district organizations, two in each development region covering both Terai and hilly region. The leading organizations coordinate and facilitate activities in the cluster districts. The initiatives taken by the cluster districts have split over effect all over the country. Likewise, the cluster districts easily and readily work on remaining neighboring districts if necessary.
