Future Strategy

CIF has the following strategies and plan for the future:

  • Strengthen capacity of civil society actors on human rights, non violence, peace and democracy building process
  • Establishing human rights and peace institute for conducting both formal and informal courses
  • Develop Early Warning system to adopt appropriate measures for preventing violence
  • Enhance local capacity on non-violence, social healing, peace and reconciliation.
  • Monitor and make documentation of economic, social and cultural rights for promoting economic justice and contributing to the establishment of sustainable peace.
  • Take initiatives for monitoring overall situation of human rights and peace building process
  • Carry out human rights and peace education programmes for protecting human rights and promoting peace and reconciliation.
  • Study on contemporary issues including ethno-political and social conflict for providing alternatives to transform them by peaceful means.
  • Develop and publish education and awareness materials on human rights and conflict transformation in general and social healing, non-violence, tolerance, peace and reconciliation in particular.
  • Establish a library and resource centre for peace, human rights and development.
  • Advocate for the benefit and rights of the women, children, Janajatis, Madhesis, dalits, agricultural workers and marginalized and oppressed communities.
  • Facilitate and coordinate for establishing effective networks and communication mechanisms among district cluster organizations.
  • Create pressure for establishing system of transitional justice and address issues of impunity
  • Coordinate and facilitate for post war reconstruction and rebuilding of the society.
